At Mission Hills Middle School, technology is more than a subject—it’s a way for students to explore, create, and problem-solve. From the earliest grades through middle school, our program integrates hands-on projects with real-world applications, encouraging curiosity and innovation.

At every grade level, our goal is to help students develop confidence, creativity, and critical thinking through technology.

What We Do

  • Coding & Programming – From early Scratch coding to advanced Python, JavaScript, HTML, and Arduino projects, students learn the language of the future.

  • 3D Printing & Design – Students bring ideas to life with TinkerCAD, creating keychains, pencil holders, model ships, sustainable homes, and more.

  • Robotics – Using Edison, Sphero, and Lego Mindstorms, students design and code robots for challenges like Battle Bots, Sphero Bowling, and even automatic hand-sanitizing machines.

  • STEAM Projects & Competitions – Students tackle exciting challenges such as the Mission to Mars team competition, spaghetti marshmallow towers, and the Trashin’ Show fashion project with recycled materials.

  • Digital Citizenship – We emphasize safe, responsible, and creative use of technology alongside skills like typing and online communication.
